This longarm followed me home…

Sounds like the start of a joke, but believe me it’s real! I had been dreaming of a longarm for awhile. Every time I crawled around on the ground trying to baste a quilt I thought of that magical longarm that could do it for me. Kneeling on the ground to baste is only going to get harder as I get older. So I bit the bullet, started my search, and found a used longarm relatively close. The previous owner was a sweet lady who was retiring from her longarm business and was thrilled I was starting up mine. My husband and I rented a moving truck because the 14 foot table is huge! The truck rental guy was incredulous when I told him I was moving a sewing machine. But moving it we were, and the Gammill made its way to my house.

I then took the Rookie League course put on by Jess Zeigler of the Longarm League. Through the class I learned the nuts and bolts of starting a longarm business. I quickly realized that I wanted a computerized longarm and decided upon the Intelliquilter system. Now I can quilt beautiful designs with perfect points and swirly curves. I’m excited to be a part of your quilt’s journey. I will begin booking quilts October 29th, 2021. I can’t wait to see what beautiful quilts you’ve made!
